Protection requirements

ME60-X3 is a series of multi-service control gateway products (i.e., BRAS) launched by Huawei, which is mainly used in broadcasting, education, and other industries to provide a unified user access and management platform.
Designed based on the 2T platform, the ME60 serves as a high-performance service management and support platform that fully meets the needs of various business operation modes. Flexible board configuration can meet the port requirements of different customers. The industry's largest 480G capacity board and flexible configuration of up to 160G high-capacity NAT single board can fully meet the needs of customers in all stages of smooth evolution from IPv4 to IPv6. While carrying multiple services, the original hot standby technology ensures the smooth and reliable operation of important services. Based on ME60 and corresponding solutions, intelligent carrier-grade IP networks can be built. The integrated design and deployment can significantly reduce the network construction cost and operation and maintenance cost of multi-service operation in broadband data network.

Leading performance
ME60 is designed based on 2T platform, which provides a solid foundation for the long-term evolution of customer's network. It can support up to 480G capacity veneer, 10 million massive routing table capacity, 160G CGN service veneer, and up to 256K concurrent users, which meets the demand of rapid growth of customer's broadband service and provides a solid foundation for customer's network evolution.
Full-service bearer, refined operation and management
Based on the integrated design concept, ME60 serves as a unified user access and management platform, fully supporting IPOX, PPPoX, 802.1x, web authentication and other service access capabilities.
ME60 multi-service management provides a unified realization platform. It supports DAA to manage the difference in the destination address of user access services, which can distinguish the user's internal and external network traffic and bill according to different rate levels to ensure the operation revenue of local customers. With the diversification of voice, video and other network applications, the customer's demand for network bandwidth is becoming more and more diversified, and when the user has the demand for bandwidth adjustment, the user can use BOD self selection. The system can dynamically adjust the bandwidth, priority and billing method of online services according to the user's business strategy, realizing the flexible provision of various broadband value-added services.
Excellent and Reliable User Experience
ME60 products support subscriber access function, and the on-line speed of each slot can reach 300 subscribers per second. The whole machine can come online at a speed of up to 1,200 users per second, and the large-capacity NAT single-board sessions can be established at a speed of up to 2M sessions per second, ensuring the user experience.
Multi-level reliability design ensures smooth and reliable operation of services
Device level: ME60 adopts the architecture of separating control plane and switching plane, independent bus system, completely independent control channel and forwarding channel, meanwhile, it adopts distributed hardware forwarding, and each key component supports redundant hot backup and hot plugging.
Network Level: The software is based on Huawei's highly reliable VRP® routing platform, which provides a wealth of reliability, such as support for BFD, RRPP, VRRP, NSF, NSR, FRR, and other technologies. In addition, the ME60 supports link protection via cross-board trunk technology to construct a solid network with end-to-end high-reliability protection.
Service level: ME60 relies on the original hot backup technology to support PPPoE, IPoE, L2TP, multicast, CGN NAT and other services hot backup, to protect the reversal process users do not have to re-dial, "zero" service interruption.
Investment Protection, Smooth Evolution
ME60 supports rich policy protocols COA, Diameter and COPS, strong service docking capability, good network adaptability, ME60 supports various rate interfaces from 64Kbps to 100Gbps, which can fully satisfy the public and SMEs to carry out multi-play services. Low-speed interfaces are compatible with traditional services, utilizing existing network equipment, ensuring smooth evolution from traditional low-speed network to high-speed IP network and protecting customer investment.
ME60 supports rich IPV6 user access methods and rich IPv6 network routing capability. The flexible high-capacity NAT single board supports NAT44, NAT64, DS-Lite, and L2NAT, which meets the different development stages of the network, effectively saves the user's investment and maintenance costs, and provides a comprehensive solution for the transition from IPv4 to IPv6.
