Metro1000 Product Highlights
This document describes the product characteristics of OptiX 155/622H devices in terms of network applications, hardware structure, software structure, functional features, etc. OptiX 155/622H is an STM-1/STM-4/STM-16 class box device developed by Huawei Technologies Co. It can access multiple service types, and is applied to metropolitan area networks (MANs), local transmission network access layers, and private line access for large customers. It can be used in the access layer of MANs and local transmission networks for accessing private lines for large customers. For Ethernet services, the device supports the dual-plane coexistence of traditional TDM (Time Division Multiplexing) and PTN (Packet Transport Network) service bearer methods. The Ethernet service in the packet service plane provides a small aggregation function from multiple FE ports to one GE port. With the support of dual-plane networking, it can realize the smooth evolution from TDM network to packet-switched network.
Metro1000 Product Features
OptiX 155/622H is a box-type device, with box dimensions of 436mm (W) × 293mm (D) × 86mm (H), and except for power supply module and some service boards, the crossover unit, clock unit, and public service unit are all integrated in the SCB single board.The SS49SCB crossover module supports a high-order crossover capacity of 21.25G (136 × 136 VC-4) and a low-order crossover capacity of 5G (32 × 32 VC-4). and the low-order crossover capacity is 5G (32×32 VC-4). In the packet plane, OptiX 155/622H supports FE and GE type of Ethernet service access, and can be interfaced with devices with packet characteristics. In TDM plane, OptiX 155/622H supports multiple service types of access, and can be interfaced with switches, Ethernet switches and other devices.
Flexible Networking of SDH Transmission Equipment
The OptiX 155/622H has powerful docking capabilities and can be docked with Huawei optical network equipment to build a complete transmission network solution.

OSN Series: OptiX OSN 9500, OptiX OSN 7500, OptiX OSN 3500, OptiX OSN 3500 II, OptiX OSN 2500, OptiX OSN 1500, and so on.
OptiX 155/622H as access layer equipment can be mixed with Huawei's Metro series equipment and OSN series equipment for networking, supporting flexible networking methods such as point-to-point, linear, ring, hub, and mesh.
It supports high-order cross-capacity of 21.25G and low-order cross-capacity of 5G, and can be configured as multiple TM (Terminal Multiplexer), ADM (Add/Drop Multiplexer), or MADM (Multiple Add/Drop Multiplexer) systems, and supports service scheduling and protection between multiple systems, which greatly enhances the equipment's performance. Metro1000 MSTP Features
In the packet plane, OptiX 155/622H supports packet-centric service switching, and the packet switching capacity supported by OptiX 155/622H is 8 Gbps. The access/aggregation/core layers contain two independent planes (TDM and packet plane).
