    Introduction of OSN8800 TN54SXL Functions and Features

    Huawei WDM OSN8800 TN54TSXL single board belongs to the tributary class of single boards. TN11TSXL realizes the interconversion between 1-channel STM-256/OC-768 service optical signals and 4-channel ODU2 telecommunication signals; TN53TSXL realizes the interconversion between 1-channel STM-256/OC-768/OTU3 service optical signals and 1-channel ODU3; TN54TSXL realizes the interconversion between 1 channel 40GE service optical signal and 1 channel ODU3.

    The application of OSN8800 TN54TSXL (40 Gbit/s tributary service processing board) single board in WDM system is shown in Figure 1, Figure 2 and Figure 3.

    TSXL boards support functions and features such as layer crossing.

      • 1x(STM-256/OC-768/OTU3) 1xODU3
    • TN54TSXL:
      • 1x40GE1xODU3

    • STM-256/OC-768: SDH/SONET service at 39.81 Gbit/s

    • OTU3: OTN service at 43.02Gbit/s

    • 40GE: Ethernet service at 41.25 Gbit/s

    Cross-capability
    • TN11TSXL: Supports 4-channel ODU2 signals to realize cross-scheduling of services with the cross board through the backplane bus.
    • TN53TSXL/TN54TSXL: Supports 1 ODU3 signal to realize cross-scheduling of services with the cross board through the backplane bus.
    OTN Function
    • Adopts ITU-T G.709 recommended frame format and overhead processing.
    • Supports PM function of ODU2 layer on the backplane side.
    • Supports PM and TCM functions at the ODU3 layer on the backplane side.
    Error correction coding

    Supports FEC coding when accessing OTU3 services on the client side, complying with ITU-T G.709 recommendations.

    PRBS test function
    • TN11TSXL/TN54TSXL: Not supported.
    • TN53TSXL: Supported on the client side.
    LPT Function Not supported
    Alarm and Performance Monitoring
    • Provides BIP8 byte monitoring (Poisson mode or burst mode), which can locate line faults.
    • Provides B1 byte monitoring, which can locate line faults.
    • Supports OTN performance monitoring and alarm monitoring.
    • Provides the following monitoring functions: laser bias current monitoring, laser operating temperature monitoring, optical power monitoring, etc.
    • Provides Ethernet RMON monitoring function.

    Description:

    Only the TN54TSXL supports the Ethernet RMON (Remote Monitor) monitoring function.

    Only the TN11TSXL/TN53TSXL supports Poisson mode.

    Only TN11TSXL/TN53TSXL supports laser temperature detection.

    Only TN11TSXL/TN53TSXL supports B1 byte monitoring.
