SEP1 board accomplishes STM-1 signal processing. When SEP1 adopts panel outlet (the logic single board of the network management display is SEP1), it completes the processing of 2-channel STM-1 electrical signals; when SEP1 board cooperates with wiring board (the logic single board of the network management display is SEP), it completes the processing of 8-channel STM-1 optical/electrical signals, or 4-channel STM-1 electrical signals. The physical single board of both is SEP1, collectively referred to as SEP1 when no distinction is made between logical single boards.
The specific functions and characteristics of the SEP1 veneer are shown in Table 1.
The SEP1 board, when used with different outgoing boards and electrical interface protection inversion boards, has different access capabilities for STM-1 signals, as shown in Table 2.
| Use with single board | Function Description |
|---|---|
| None | Access and process 2-channel STM-1 electrical signals, TPS protection is not supported. |
| EU04 | Access and process 4-channel STM-1 electrical signals. |
| EU08 | Accesses and processes 8 STM-1 electrical signals. |
| OU08 | Accesses and processes 8-channel STM-1 optical signals. |
| EU04+TSB4 | Accesses and processes 4-channel STM-1 electrical signals and realizes TPS protection for the SEP1 board. |
| EU08+TSB8 | Accesses and processes 8 STM-1 electrical signals and realizes TPS protection for the SEP1 board. |
| EU04+TSB8 | Accesses and processes 4 STM-1 electrical signals and realizes TPS protection for the SEP1 board. |
