OSN3500 SSN1IXCSA Functions and Features


The IXCSA single board supports service scheduling, clock input and output, and other functions and features.


Cross-connection unit

The cross-connect unit functions and features of the IXCSA single board are shown in Table 1.

  • Supports VC-4-4c, VC-4-8c, VC-4-16c and VC-4-64c cascading services.

  • Supports up to 40 linear multiplexing segment protection groups.

  • Supports up to 12 ring multiplexing segment protection groups.

  • Supports up to 8064 SNCP protection pairs.

  • Supports up to 592 SNCMP protection pairs.

  • Supports up to 512 SNCTP protection pairs.

Protection ModeSupports 1+1 hot backup of single-board cross and clock units, and the protection mode is non-recovery by default.

Input/OutputVia AUX single board:
  • Supports the input of two 2048kHz or 2048kbit/s timing signals, and provides the function of selecting external timing sources.

  • Supports outputting 2-channel 2048kHz or 2048kbit/s timing signals.

The indicators on the single board panel are:

  • Single-board hardware status light (STAT)-red and green indicator lights

  • Single-board primary and backup status lights (ACT)-green light

  • Single-board software status light (PROG) - red and green dual-color light

  • Service warning lamp (SRV) - red, green and yellow indicators

  • Synchronized Clock Status Lamp (SYNC)-red, green, and dual-color indicator lamps
