OSN8800 TN58NS4T51 Version Description and Supporting Relationships

  • TN54NS4/TN57NS4/TN58NS4:
    • In OptiX OSN 8800 T64 Enhanced Subrack/OptiX OSN 8800 T32 Enhanced Subrack/OptiX OSN 8800 T16 Subrack, the NS4 veneer supports line mode and trunk mode. When working in line mode, the OptiX OSN 8800 T64 Enhanced Subrack must be configured with USXH+UXCT veneer; the OptiX OSN 8800 T32 Enhanced Subrack must be configured with UXCH/UXCM veneer; and the OptiX OSN 8800 T16 Subrack must be configured with TN16UXCM veneer.

    • In the OptiX OSN 8800 T64 Universal Subrack/OptiX OSN 8800 T32 Universal Subrack/OptiX OSN 8800 Universal Platform Subrack, the NS4 veneer board only supports trunk mode.
  • TN56NS4:
    • In the OptiX OSN 8800 T64 Enhanced Subrack/OptiX OSN 8800 T32 Enhanced Subrack/OptiX OSN 8800 T32 General Purpose Subrack/OptiX OSN 8800 T16 Subrack, the NS4 veneer boards support both Line Mode and Trunk Mode. When working in line mode, the OptiX OSN 8800 T64 enhanced subrack must be configured with the USXH+UXCT veneer; the OptiX OSN 8800 T32 enhanced subrack/OptiX OSN 8800 T32 general-purpose subrack must be configured with the UXCH/UXCM veneer; and the OptiX OSN 8800 T16 subrack must be configured with the TN16UXCM veneer .

      The TN56NS4 supports line mode on the OptiX OSN 8800 T32 Universal Subrack only if the "OptiX OSN 8800 T32 Universal Subrack Supports 100G Line Card Capability License" is configured.

    • In OptiX OSN 8800 T64 Universal Subrack/OptiX OSN 8800 General Purpose Platform Subrack, NS4 single board only supports trunk mode.

When TN58NS4 replaces TN57NS4, it needs to be inserted in the right slot of the slot occupied by the original TN57NS4, and the free physical slot cannot be inserted with a single board. The replacement board only has the function of TN57NS4.
