Problem Description
V Country A customer upgrades OSN3500, the network element version is V1R8C02SPC200 (5.21.18.50P01), this upgrade hotfix is OSN3500V100R008C02SPH201, the upgrade version of the software is completed normally, while the upgrade of the hotfix fails. the U2000 version is V1R2, Toolkit version isV1R4, Navigator is 6.2.

ProcessingFollow the first step of the appeal to query and find that some of the veneers are mismatched. After upgrading to the matching version, the hotfix package is loaded successfully.
Root Cause- Before upgrading with a hot patch package, you need to check the following information:
1. Check the information of the veneer of the network element: the base version of the veneer is correct, consistent with the matching table, and judge that the veneer needs to be upgraded with a patch;
2. Check the operation status of the device: the device must be running normally before upgrading;
3. Check the patch upgrade method supported by the network element: hot patch package or board-level hot patch is supported, use the :patchpkg-get-state
command to query
4. Check whether the CF card is available before the hotfix package upgrade (only R8 version);
5. Check whether the running version of the single board is the same as that in the hotfix package module before the hotfix package upgrade (only R8 version);
6. Check that there should be no residual hotfix packages and residual software before the hotfix package upgrade;
7. Check that there should be no single board offline or in the BIOS state before the hotfix package upgrade;
8. Check whether the remaining space of the single board is sufficient before upgrading the hotfix package, and the remaining space of the single board is more than 100k;
9. Check the state of swdl before upgrading the hotfix package: the state of swdl is double NORMAL state, use thecommand:sftm-rtrv-state:swdl
to query the command
10. Backup of the whole network data - If the test passes before hotfix upgrade but the upgrade is still unsuccessful, please collect the following data:
