Problem Description

One day, an operator's maintenance personnel wanted to modify a set of non-gateway network element OSN3500 equipment to become a gateway network element, in accordance with the method of modifying the network element ip modification, but always unsuccessful , and then queried the version of R3 ( 5.21.13.47p01 ), querying its nodeid is 129.9.0.1, and want to modify the gateway network element's ip address is 129.9.11.15, the two ip addresses are in a network segment, so it is not possible to modify the ip address of the gateway. The engineers of the partner were allowed to modify the nodeid of the gateway, but after the modification was completed, the soft reset of the main control board reported that the gateway was in the state of security alarms. The alarm disappeared after the full-volume download of the service to the network element on site.

1, R & D from the returned data can see that in a few days before the modification of the network element nodeid, someone manually deleted the drdb database operation; resulting in no data in the drdb database; so when the main control board soft reset up to report that the network element is in the state of security alarm.

2, OSN3500 equipment database backup mechanism:

Since the OCP data adopts incremental backup, i.e., it will only store the new configuration data to DRDB, and back up the data in DRDB to flash in the network element cycle backup. As the data in FDB0 was also cleared during the clearing operation on 2007-12-26, the network element was automatically reset after modifying the Nodeid8 days after the event, and after resetting up, the network element restored the default configuration, and thus the network element entered the installation state.

3, mdb data is backed up to drdb, and drdb data is periodically backed up to fdb, real-time backup to nvfldb, the process of backing up from mdb to drdb is an incremental backup method.
