Problem Description

One day a new OSN8800 T16 device was powered on and one of the main control boards reported POWER_FAIL alarm, host version 5.51.7.36 , to rule out hardware and software problems such as single board devices.

Processing

1, 0x05 indicates that the battery power on the main control board is too low without power, unplug the main control board with a multimeter to measure the battery voltage of 3V, to rule out battery problems.

2, with a spare SCC board replacement alarm still exists, to rule out SCC board failure.

3, will be pulled out of the SCC single board, found that indeed the dialing code is set incorrectly (jumper1, 2 for the non-use of the battery state, jumper 2, 3 use the battery state; normal use of the battery state should be used to ---- accidental power-down to maintain the configuration information ). After following the correct dialing code settings, the veneer was plugged back in and the alarm ended.

1. Low battery on SCC single board

4. Incorrect setting of dip switches

Solution

OSN8800 device SCC single board has a 1 × 3 jumper, used to switch the single board battery power supply, jumper 1, 2 for the non-use of the battery state, jumper 2, 3 use the battery power. Equipment veneer factory main control board battery jumper may be dialed for the off state, under normal circumstances will be jumped to the open state, so it is easy to ignore this problem when encountering such problems.
