In a bureau, OSN2500 equipment, users change the password of the root user by themselves. After changing the password, the user cannot change it back to the default password " password ".

The root user cannot log in to the network element.

Processing

By default, the FTP function of the host is turned off, so you need to telnet to the host first and turn on the FTP function before you can do anything to it.

1, TELNET on the host: telnet 192.168.0.82

2, the implementation of the command to open the host FTP function: FTP_ServiceInin(0,1)

3, FTP to the host: ftp 192.168.0.82

4、Delete the user.dbf file under the osf1/db, osf2/db,tdrdb/db,drdb/db folder in the main control board

5、Reset the host :reset

After doing the above, you will be able to log in to the network element in T2000 with the root user and password "password".

Root cause

The password of the root user of the network element has been changed, we have tried the following methods:

1, with :sm-edit-pass command to change the root user password to " password ", the result prompted an error. The password must contain letters and numbers, so it cannot be changed to the default " password ".

2. Erase the database and reset the main control board. Still can not restore the default password of the root user.

3, erase the database, and erase the host software, and then re-upgrade the host software. The phenomenon remains the same, still can not be recovered.

4, consult the R & D, you need to use FTP to log in directly to the main control board, delete the main control board in the osf1/db, osf2/db, tdrdb/db, drdb/db folder under the user.dbf file, and then soft reset the SCC user information is restored to the initial configuration of the factory.

Note: In OSN series, the root user can only log in with T2000, not with command line.
