The manifestation is thatthe faulty single board hardware status lamp (STAT)on the OSN2500 equipment deviceis in the off state, or after inserting the single board, the single board can not be loaded, and the faulty single board hardware status lamp (STAT) is bright red. Cause 1 :OSN2500veneer failure.

Treatment: Hard reset or directly unplug the faulty single board. Check the single board again, and replace the single board if it has not started.

Reason 2 :OSN2500motherboard inverted pin or fault.

Treatment: Contact Huawei engineers and replace the motherboard. Check whether the veneer board starts normally.

Cause 3 :OSN2500software version mismatch.

Solution: Check the versions of the master board and business board software to determine whether they match. If they do not match, contact Huawei engineers to upgrade the corresponding single-board software.

Cause 4 :The OSN2500external power supply fails to recognize the single board.

Treatment: Disconnectthe power switch on the DC distribution box ofHuawei's SDH equipment, connect the positive pole of the multimeter to the power terminalNEG (-)of the DC distribution box, and connect the negative pole to the power terminalRTN (+).Measurethe voltage betweenpower terminalsRTN (+)andNEG (-), which should meet the following requirements: if the standard voltage of the input power supply is-48V, the power supply voltage should be between-41Vand-60V; if the standard voltage of the input power supply is-60V, the power supply voltage should be between-51Vand-72V.

Cause 5 :OSN2500net element power supply module failure.

Treatment: Replace the device power supply board.

Cause 6 : Human configuration error or failure to configure the logical single board.

Processing method: Check whether the slot of the unopened single board is correctly inserted. If the single board insertion slot is incorrect, adjust to the correct free slot and continue to the next step.

Check whether the faulty board is configured with a logical single board. If the board is not configured with a logical single board, right-click on the corresponding slot in the "Panel Diagram of Network Element", add a single board as needed, and then check whether the board is working normally.

Cause 7 : Abnormal temperature will also causethe OSN2500board not to start working.

Treatment: Checkwhether the OSN2500 fan is running normally, if the status is abnormal, replace the fan; checkwhetherthe OSN2500device dust net is free, if there is more dust, clean the dust net or replace the dust net; test the ambient temperature of the server room, if it is higher than45℃, use cooling equipment to reduce the ambient temperature.
