1.Line rate

OptiX OSN1800V adopts Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing ( DWDM ) technology to realize multi-service and fully transparent transmission function.

OptiX OSN1800V is capable of multiplexing 40-channel services in a single fiber, i.e., it is capable of transmitting 40-wave carrier signals of different wavelengths.

Transmission scheme for different line rates:

l 40-wave x 10Gbit/s transmission scheme ( DWDM )

l 40-wave x 2.5Gbit/s transmission scheme ( DWDM )

l 8-wave x 10Gbit/s transmission scheme ( CWDM )

l 8-wave x 2.5Gbit/s transmission scheme ( CWDM )

1.1 OTN 10Gbit/s transmission system

The OptiX OSN1800 V supports 40x10Gbit/s DWDM and 8x10Gbit/s CWDM transmission solutions.

Applications

Figure 1-1 and Figure 1-2 show typical applications of the 10Gbit/s transmission solution in a 40-wave10Gibt/s DWDM system. Signals of different wavelengths are multiplexed into a single fiber for transmission via MUX/DMUX. In this case, the combined wave signals can be multiplexed directly through the OTU veneer or through the cross-slave line veneer.

2. OTN 2.5 Gbit/s transmission system

OptiX OSN1800 V supports 40x2.5 Gbit/s DWDM and 8x2.5 Gbit/s CWDM transmission solutions.

Applications

Figure 1-5 and Figure 1-6 show typical applications of the 2.5Gbit/s transmission solution in a 40-wave2.5Gibt/s DWDM system. Signals of different wavelengths are multiplexed into one fiber for transmission via MUX/DMUX.
