Huawei OSN3500 device GSCC master board failure leads to DC analog package upgrade task failure

Description of the problem

Current version: 5.21.13.47

Target version: 5.21.18.50p01

DC tool version: V100R200C01SPC003

When upgrading a Huawei OSN3500 device gateway device in a bureau by using the DC tool to create a new simulation packet upgrade task, all the veneers are loaded successfully and activation starts, the preparation 17-GSCC is activated successfully, and then the network element is de-regulated when activating the main 18-GSCC, which displays that activation fails and the upgrade fails, see the attached figure.

Alarm Message

There is no abnormal alarm before upgrading, but during upgrading, there are alarms of communication failure of gateway network element, network element can not log in, and communication BREAK of network element, but the service is normal.

Processing

1. Entering the station for inspection, it is found that the ACT of 18-GSCC does not light up, and the ACT light of 17-GSCC is on, which indicates that the master control has been inverted to 17-GSCC.

2, the 17-GSCc single board unplugged, the master control back to 18-GSCC, T2000 Internet Yuan returned to normal monitoring, check the main backup master control version has been upgraded to the target version.

3: First single master control 18-GSCC to complete the other single board loading, activation upgrade, network element upgrade success.

4: Failure to reproduce: hard reset on the network management 18-GSCC inverted to 17-GSCC network elements and then appear to be out of the pipe, to confirm that the 17-GSCC unit communication is not normal, the need to replace spare parts.

5: Replacement of the same version of the master control spare parts and then do the master control of the main backup inversion test, there is no network element off the pipe phenomenon, processing is complete.

Root cause

Hard reset occurs when the main master 18-GSCC is activated, and the network element is de-piped after the master control is switched to the standby 17-GSCC, indicating that the 17-GSCC is not normal or the master control reversal is not successful.
