Q: How to configure Huawei OSN2500 product multiplexed segment ring shared optical path?
A: Take two 2.5G multiplexed segment rings sharing 10G optical fiber as an example, which is equivalent to splitting a 10G optical fiber into two 2.5G optical fibers. For the 10G optical interface board, some of the channels can be mapped to protection group 1 and others to protection group 2, thus splitting a 10G line veneer into two 2.5G line veneers.
Note the virtual splitting of 10G optical ports: 1 to 16 vc4 are virtualized as one 2.5G channel; 17 to 32 vc4 are virtualized as another 2.5G channel. 33 to 64 are protected channels, which can only be allocated for additional services.
