SDH OSN3500 device EGT2 single board reports T_LOSEX alarm on specific slots

Description of the problem

The SDH OSN3500 device EGT2 single board is plugged into the existing network element and reports T_LOSEX alarm, but the service can be configured normally. The customer is worried that the alarm will affect the service.

Network element host version: 5.21.31.35 (V2R11C00SPC200)

Single board hardware: N2EGT2


Alarm Information

T_LOSEX

Alarm parameters are: 0x01, 0x00, 0x02, 0x00, 0x0c.


Processing

1、Confirm that the EGT2 single board is installed normally and starts working normally (it is shown as green on the network management)

2、Replace the EGT2 single board, the problem is not solved

3, replace the EGT2 single board to the other empty slots of the network element, including 1, 2, 3, 15, 16, found that the problem still exists

4、Check the version matching table, upgrade the EGT2 board to the version matching with the host, the problem is still not solved.

5、Plug the same EGT2 board into other slots of other network elements in the current network.

It is found that no matter whether the host is a low version (V1R8) or a high version (V2R11), no T_LOSEX alarm will be reported.

Conclusion:

Suspected a product bug or alarm misreporting. After consulting with R&D, R&D reproduced the problem in the lab and found that the problem must occur on individual slots (e.g., 1, 2, 3, 15, 16) of the host version 5.21.31.35, but does not occur on other slots (e.g., 5, 6), and that it is the bus down at the wrong rate. The problem does not occur on host 5.21.31.38.


Solution:

T_LOSEX alarms can affect business, it is recommended to upgrade to V200R011C00SPC300 and later relevant mainstream versions.

Root Cause.

According to the manual, from the alarm parameters, there is a problem with the bus of the cross board in slot 10. However, if there is a problem with the crossover board, other line boards of the same network element should also report this alarm. Therefore, replace the crossover board as a last resort. Consider the following questions first:
