Description of the problem

OSN3500 device version 5.21.17.31P01 is configured with SEP veneer, 33-EU08 veneer, 35-TSB8 veneer in slots 15 & 16. After configuring a low-level SNCP service on the SEP board in slot 15 using network management U2000V1R2C00, TPS protection cannot be created. The network management reports that there are insufficient free protection board resources.

High-order SNCP and TPS cannot coexist because NGSDH devices cannot transfer monitoring points when SNCP and TPS coexist. (Already exists alert 14401: SC0000480220) Therefore, the network management has made a restriction on the creation of TPS protection starting from U2000V1R2C00: the source of SNCP cannot be used as the working board of TPS, and the host of SNCP cannot be used as the protection board of TPS. Since the restriction does not distinguish between high-order or low-order services, this leads to the fact that TPS protection cannot be configured as long as SNCP services are configured on the single board. (This problem also exists for other single boards such as N1SLH1)
