Due to the limited subrack space of OSN1500 network elements (including 1500A and 1500B), the in-position line of the PIU board is sent to the master through the AUX, so that the AUX soft reset will cause the PIU to report the BD_STATUS alarm at the same time. This is a hardware feature of the OSN1500.
Root Cause
The OSN1500 network element PIU's presence line is sent to the master through the AUX, so the AUX soft reset will cause the PIU to report the BD_STATUS alarm at the same time.
Solution
1, the first suspected bd_status alarm known problem: in-position line jitter. According to the relevant case troubleshooting ruled out.
2, because the PIU is reported at the same time, disappear at the same time, it is impossible to be two PIU at the same time hardware problems reported not in position.
3, observe 10 # board AUX alarm time and PIU alarm time in the report time and end time seems to have a little connection.
4, check the AUX errlog.log, found that the day of the soft reset record, the time with the report of the BD_STATUS alarm time is consistent.

This shows that the AUX reported BD_STATUS because a soft reset occurred.
5, then why PIU reported BD_STATUS, and what is the connection with AUX? After inquiring the information, we know the reason that the PIU of 1500 network element is sent to the master control through AUX, so the soft reset of AUX will cause PIU to report BD_STATUS alarm at the same time.
