Description of the problem

A new bureau project, equipment model: OSN 3500, version: V100R010C03SPC203 (5.21.20.54), U2000 network management (V1R9) configuration is completed N3EGS2 single-board Ethernet services, the two ends of the downstream PCs, each other ping each other's IP address, the communication is normal, but reported MOD_TYPE_MISMATCH alarm. MISMATCH alarm.

Processing

1, the first two ends of the downlink PC, each other ping each other's IP address, communication is normal, indicating that the actual SFP module communication function is normal, suspect that the single board or the master misreported alarm, reset the N3EGS2 and the master board, and then query the alarm still exists; other slots are not configured with data, there is no alarm reported on the GE optical port N3EGS2 and the alarm reported on the N3EGS2 of the GE electrical port single board. After switching, the alarms of both single boards disappear, eliminating the problems of single boards and modules, and suspecting the problems of port parameter settings.

2、According to the reported MOD_TYPE_MISMATCH, parameters: 0X01,0X00,0X01,0XFF,0XFF, alarm parameter 1#PORT reported alarm, please engineer selected EGS2 single board, in the Network Element Manager-Function Tree-Configuration-Ethernet Interface Management-Ethernet Interface-External Port, check the port logic type for SDH optical port, change the port logic type for SDH optical port to SDH optical port, and change the port parameter setting for SDH optical port. SDH optical port to SDH electrical port, the alarm disappears.

Root cause

The single board that supports GE optical and GE electrical ports can configure the port logical type in the network management, and the default of U2000 network management is SDH optical port. The engineer did not change the port logical type when enabling the port and configuring the port working mode, and the actual physical module is GE electrical port, and after the data was sent to the single board, the single board detected the mismatch of the port module, and therefore reported this alarm.

1. NG-SDH supports GE optical and GE electrical ports: N3EGS2, N1EGS4, N4EGS4, N1EMS2, N1EMS4, N2EGT2.

When setting the port attributes of the single boards that support GE optical and GE electrical ports, be sure to modify the logical types of the ports to be consistent with the actual configuration.
