Description of the problem

Recently, the company needs to remove an unused 15-PQ1 logical board on the OSN 3500 device to remove 15-PQ1 in TPS protection, and the result is reported as illegal TPS protection unit priority, error code: 38829, as shown in the following figure:

Processing

1. Our normal priority is shown in the following figure:

For priority one, two, three and four, if we remove 15-PQ1 it becomes as shown below:

for priority one, two, and four, so the alarm is reported.

2. While removing 15-PQ1, adjust the priority of 16-PQ1 veneer as shown below:

Click Apply again. the operation is successful and no more errors are reported.

Root Cause

When removing a single board in a TPS protection group, the priority is not adjusted resulting in an illegal reporting priority.

Solution

When removing a single board from a TPS protection group, readjust the correct priority processing.
