Procedure

1. Cause 1: Inconsistent veneer models cause service interruption.
   1. Browse the current alarms.

      If ......	then ......
      the network element reports the WRG_BD_TYPE alarm.	Continue to the next step.
      The network element did not report the WRG_BD_TYPE alarm.	Turn to other reasons.

   2. Refer to the Alarm and Performance Event Reference to handle the WRG_BD_TYPE alarm.
   3. Check if the service is back to normal, if not, refer to other causes.
2. Cause 2: The settings of the dip switches and jumpers of the veneer are wrong, resulting in service interruption.
   1. Check the setting status of the dip switches and jumpers of the single board.

      If ......	then ......
      the settings of the dip switches and jumpers of the single board are incorrect.	Reset the dip switches and jumpers of the single board. Check whether the service is back to normal, if not, turn to other reasons.
      The settings of the dip switches and jumpers of the single board are correct.	Refer to other reasons.

References

When upgrading or expanding, the replacement or addition of a single board must be the same model as the original board. In particular, when replacing or adding a cross-clocking board with a master/backup relationship, the model number of the master/backup board must be the same.
