SDH transmission equipment, OSN3500 J0_MM alarm explanation
The J0_MM alarm indicates tracking identifier mismatch. This alarm is reported when the circuit board finds that the actual J0 byte received by the corresponding optical interface does not match the configured receivable J0 byte (including byte format and value).
The J0 byte is used to send the segment access point identifier repeatedly so that the receiving end can confirm that it is in a continuous connection with the specified sender accordingly.

Alarm Parameters
When you view the alarm in the network management, select the alarm, and the related parameters of the alarm will be displayed in the "Alarm Details". The format of alarm parameters is "Alarm Parameters (hexadecimal): Parameter 1 Parameter 2...Parameter n". See the following table for the meaning of each parameter.
| Parameter name | Parameter name Meaning |
|---|---|
|
Parameter 1 |
Indicates the actual port number of the single board. For packet processing single board and packet interface single board, there is no alarm parameter. |
Impact on the System
If the device enables the down-plug AU_AIS function, then reporting this alarm will cause service interruption; otherwise, this alarm has no effect on the service.
Common Failure Phenomena
If there is no corresponding fault phenomenon for the probable cause, or the fault phenomenon is not listed in this content, please follow the recommended order of operation in the "Processing Steps".
None.
Possible causes
The possible reasons for the alarm J0_MM to be generated are as follows:

Processing steps
- Cause 1: The J0 byte that should be sent from the opposite end is inconsistent with the J0 byte that should be received from this end.
- On the network management, query whether the configuration of the receivable J0 byte of the local end network element and the receivable J0 byte of the opposite end network element are consistent. As shown in Figure 1, the opposite-end network element is NE1. if it is inconsistent, reconfigure the J0 overhead byte correctly. For details, see Task Set Configuration Tracking Byte.
