If two smart network elements are configured with the same node ID, this will result in abnormal ASON functions. The network element ID is composed of a string of binary, and each ID will correspond to an associated IP address. when there are two network elements in the network that use the same IP address, it will cause ECC communication anomalies, and when the IP address is set up manually, the change of the ID will no longer affect the IP address. the ID of the network element of the SDH equipment can be set up and modified by using the Navigator command line, and it can be managed by using the U2000/T2000 gateway. T2000 gateway for management.
Problem Description
The customer mistakenly operates when replacing the main control board of the OSN2500 device, and then replaces the main board without completing the synchronization, and the synchronization between the main and backup is abnormal, and then the original main board is inserted as the backup board, and the synchronization leads to the change of the network element IDs of the new and old boards, the network elements are de-regulated, and the service is interrupted. The original network element ID is 1177, and after the exception, the network element ID is 10007. The customer wants to use the command line to restore the network element ID to 1177, and at this time, the command line reports an ID conflict error, error code: 39048.

Processing
1. Change the CXL to the single-issue state, reset the board, and then modify the ID, and still report the error.
2. Replace other CXL boards to do the same operation.
3. Use the command line to query the ECC route of the failed network element, and found that there is indeed a route pointing to the 1177 network element, with a hop count of 35, and there is also a route with a hop count of 36 in the neighboring network element. confirm with the customer whether there is any network element with conflicting ID or whether there is any operation of adding a new network element, and the customer explicitly stated that there is none.
4. Check the ecc link management of the neighboring network elements on the network management, and find that the 1177 ID points to the faulty network element, but the hop count is abnormal, and there is also a route pointing to the 10007 ID.
5. Confirmed with the R & D, suspected that the subnet is too large link instability, caused by route aging time is too long, resulting in the original 1177 network element ID can still view the route.
6. Use the cm-set-maxdist command to change the maximum number of ECC hops of the failed network element to 10 to accelerate the route aging speed, and then set the network element ID successfully to download the data to resume business.
