The OptiX OSN 1500 Intelligent Optical Transport Device (hereinafter referred to as OptiX OSN 1500) is a new-generation intelligent optical transport device developed by Huawei Technologies Co. The device supports a variety of typical networking scenarios. The device supports multiple cabinets and can be configured with multiple single boards. The device supports multiple functions and features, and adopts the "unified switching" architecture to realize unified scheduling of packet services and TDM services, and builds flexible application modes: pure packet mode, pure TDM mode, and hybrid mode (packet + TDM). The three modes can be smoothly converted through service board-level expansion, so that the most suitable mode is always used to meet the development demands of operators' services and networks, and it is convenient for operators to follow the technological development and industrial chain maturity to make step-by-step smooth investment. Based on the "Unified Switching" architecture, OptiX OSN equipment adopts packet transmission technology to realize efficient statistical multiplexing of data services and effectively reduce the transmission cost of each bit of service; at the same time, it inherits the advantages of SDH and provides Native bearer for TDM services, effectively ensuring high-quality voice service transmission.

Problem Description

A new project of a bureau is a chain network, involving our OSN3500 and OSN1500 equipment . The network elements use microwave equipment of friends to do transmission, and our equipment does multi-service access and time division multiplexing. The capacity of the transmission link between network elements is 1 STM-1. After the completion of the project, it was found that the public services of each network element were not available.

1. Check that the equipment is installed properly;

2、Check the allocation of official number, found no duplicate number, and reconfigure the official, the problem remains;

3, inverted master control, the link on the network elements of the official still not smooth, initially ruled out the master control, official single-board problems.

4, the use of Navigator to establish a DCC transmission channel between network elements, found that the upstream and downstream E1 bytes of each hop are changed. Suspected that the link is not stable, resulting in the failure. Check the performance and found that there is no error code on the link. Began to suspect that the docking problem. After confirmation, it was found that the E1 byte of our regeneration section was terminated by our friend's microwave equipment during docking. After communication, the friend changed the configuration and canceled the E1 byte termination. Official business is smooth.

Root Cause

1. The official telephone is not properly installed;

2. Incorrect official configuration;

3, master control, official single board failure;

4, equipment docking problems.

Recommendations and summary

1, in our equipment and friendly docking, the regeneration section of the overhead many times will be terminated, in the design of the program should give full consideration to this.

2、Our OSN equipment can't choose to use E1 or E2 bytes as official bytes like Metro equipment.
