OptiX OSN 1500 supports ATM over SDH, which is realized by encapsulating voice, data, video, etc. into fixed-length ATM signals at the transmitter side through ATM service processing boards and transmitting them at high speed on SDH virtual paths, and then restoring the ATM signals at the receiver side through ATM service processing boards.OptiX OSN 1500 supports bandwidth exclusive ATM services, shared bandwidth ATM services, and IMA services. The OptiX OSN 1500 supports bandwidth-exclusive ATM services, bandwidth-shared ATM services, and IMA services.The ATM services are simultaneously protected by self-healing networks at the optical transport layer, such as MSP and SNCP. The delay time for ATM protection inversion can be set so that when there is network impairment (Network impairment), the MSP or SNCP at the optical transport layer is given the opportunity to invert first, thus protecting the ATM working service (at this time, the protection inversion at the ATM layer will not be activated). After the service creates two connections, the connections cannot join the protection group and need to match the host relationship of the protection group.

Cause Analysis
- For 1+1 protection type:
- If it is source-side protection, the working connection and the protection connection must be on the same host and different source.
- For host-side protection, the working connection and the protection connection must be on the same source and different host.
- For source + host protection, the working connection and the protection connection must have different hosts and different sources.
- For 1:1 protection, the working and protection connections must be different hosts and different sources.
Procedure
- Determine the source-host relationship of the protection group, change the connection and rejoin the protection group.
