OSN3500 SDH Optical Transmission Equipment Product Description: Huawei OSN3500 is a 10G/2.5G optical transmission equipment. It is a new-generation (NG) intelligent optical transmission equipment developed by Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. and is mainly applied to the aggregation layer and backbone layer in metro transmission networks. It can be mixed with OSN9500, OptiX 10G, OSN2500, OSN1500, Metro3000, and Metro1000 to optimize operators' investment and reduce network construction costs.

OSN3500 Technical Specifications

Slot Access Capacity (Packet Mode) introduces the access capacity of each slot. When using the SSN1PSXCS cross board, one service processing board occupies two slots, in which case the adjacent slots are merged two by two, as shown in Figure 1. Slot access capacity (TDM mode) describes the access capacity of each slot. the slot access capacity of the OptiX OSN 3500 is shown in Figure 1.




Huawei OSN3500 device board types:
1. SDH optical interface board (for example, SSN3SL16A-OSN3500 STM-16 optical interface board)
2. SDH service processing board (for example, SSN2PQ1A-OSN3500 63xE1 service processing board (75 ohm))
3. SDH service interface board (for example, SSN1D75S- OSN3500 32xE1/T1 electrical interface reversing out board (75 Ohm))
4, cross-clock board with expansion subrack (such as SSN1UXCSB, note: cross-clock board without expansion subrack has no interface on the panel)
5, SDH system auxiliary interface board (such as SSN1AUX OSN3500 system auxiliary interface board)

1. A single subrack supports up to two STM-64 ADMs or four STM-16 ADMs;.

Huawei OSN3500 single subrack can provide 15 processing board slots, 16 interface board slots, and 2 subracks can be installed in a 2.2m cabinet.

1、Ethernet Service Access
Supports access and processing of 10M/100M/1000M Ethernet services;
Supports HDLC, LAPS, or GFP protocol encapsulation;
Supports transparent transmission, aggregation, and Layer 2 switching of Ethernet services;
Supports LCAS, which can fully improve the efficiency of transmission bandwidth;
Supports L2 VPNs, as well as EPL, EVPL, EPLn/EPLAN and EVPLn/EVPLAN services.

Huawei OSN3500 Networking Format and Network Protection
Supports 40-channel ECC, quad-fiber multiplexing segment ring protection, two-fiber multiplexing segment ring protection, linear multiplexing segment protection, network-level protection such as shared optical path virtual path protection and subnet connection protection, and multiplexing segment shared-fiber protection.
