Huawei OSN3500 SSN1SLH1 single board is a 16-channel STM-1 signal processing board, which completes STM-1 optical/electrical signal processing.

Functions and Features

The specific functions and features of the SLH1 single board are shown in Table 1.

Basic Functions 16-channel STM-1 signal processing board.
Optical module specifications
  • Support optical module information detection and query.
  • Support optical interface to provide laser on and off setting and laser auto shutdown function.
  • Supports the use and monitoring of SFP pluggable optical modules, which facilitates the maintenance and upgrading of optical modules.
  • Support single-fiber bi-directional optical modules, single-fiber bi-directional optical modules do not support the use of pigtails for optical interface loopback.
Business Processing Support VC-12/VC-3/VC-4 services.
Overhead processing
  • Supports segment overhead processing for STM-1 signals.
  • Supports processing of channel overhead (transparent transmission and termination), and supports setting and querying of J0/J1/C2 bytes.
  • Supports 1~16-channel ECC communication. The first eight optical ports support ECC communication in D1 to D12 channel mode, and the last eight optical ports support ECC communication in D1 to D3 channel mode.
Alarm and Performance Provides rich alarms and performance events for easy management and maintenance of the device.
Protection Mode
  • Support two-fiber multiplexing segment ring protection.
  • Supports quad-fiber multiplexing segment ring protection.
  • Supports linear multiplexing segment protection.
  • Supports SNCP protection.
  • Supports SNCMP protection.
  • Support SNCTP protection.
  • Support TPS protection with outgoing board and inverted bridge board.
Maintenance Features
  • Supports inner loopback and outer loopback functions at the optical port level.
  • Support VC-4 channel inner loopback function.
  • Support soft reset and hard reset, soft reset does not affect the service.
  • Support the query function of veneer manufacturing information.
  • Support FPGA online loading function.
  • Support smooth upgrade of veneer software.
  • Support one-button data acquisition.

The OSN3500 SSN1SLH1 board has different access capabilities to STM-1 signals when used with different outgoing boards and electrical interface protection inversion boards, as shown in Table 2.
