WDM devices are available for line rate applications with both schemes:
OTU single-board multiplexing: when the system has no centralized crossover, the OTU single-board can be used directly with the optical split-insert-multiplexing board for line transmission.
Single-board multiplexing with crossover system: when the system adopts MS-OTN system for centralized crossover, line transmission is carried out through the crossover system board cooperating with OTN branch board and OTN line board.
