OSN2500 Add Veneer
When manually configuring network element data, you need to add a single board on the board map of the network element. You can add physical boards that are actually in place on the network element, or you can add logical boards that do not exist on the actual device.
Prerequisites
- The user has the privilege of "Network Element Operator" or above.
- A network element has been created.
- There are free slots on the network element board plan.
Background Information
Physical veneers are the actual active veneers plugged into the current subrack; whereas logical veneers are veneers that are created on the network manager and saved on the master board, but do not exist on the actual device.
The correspondence between the processing board and the slot number of the interface board is displayed on the network element board bitmap, that is, if you click a processing board on the network element board bitmap, if a corresponding interface board exists for that processing board, the slot number of the slot where the interface board is located is orange.
Steps
- Double-click the mesh element icon to open the mesh element board layout.
- Right-click on the selected free slot to bring up the drop-down menu and select the veneer to be added.
Explanation:If there is an actual cross-board on the current subrack of the OSN2500 device, you need to add the logical board corresponding to the cross-board on the network management.
