OSN9800 1x100 Gbit/s Line Service Processing Board

The functional versions of the OSN9800 TNU3N401 single board are: TNU1, TNU2, TNU3, TNV1, TNV2, TNV3. The N401 single board belongs to the OTN line class of single boards and realizes interconversion of the following signals: 80 x ODU0/40 x ODU1/10 x ODU2/10 x ODU2e/2 x ODU3/1 x ODU4/80 x ODUflex1 x OTU4. 80 x ODUflex1 x OTU4. OTU4 is a DWDM standard wavelength compliant with ITU-T G.694.1 recommendation. The same optical port supports mixed transmission of ODU0, ODU1, ODU2/ODU2e, ODU3, ODUflex. n401 adopts coherent reception technology and is applied in coherent systems. The single board supports functions and features such as electrical layer crossover, OTN interface, and ESC. The single board consists of WDM side optical module, signal processing module, control and communication module, and power module.


OSN9800 TNU3N401 Functions and Features

The N401 single board supports functions and features such as layer crossing, OTN interface, ESC, etc. The N401 single board supports line mode and trunk mode. The functions and features of line mode and trunk mode are shown in Table 1 and Table 2, respectively.

OTN Functions
  • The OTU4 interface is supported on the wavelength division side.

  • Adopts ITU-T G.709 recommended frame format and overhead handling.

  • OTU4 layer: supports SM overhead processing.

  • ODUk (k=0, 1, 2, 2e, 3, 4, flex) layer: supports PM and TCM overhead processing, as well as non-intervention monitoring of PM and TCM.

WDM Specifications

Supports ITU-T G.694.1 specifications for DWDM.

Wavelength Tunable Function

Supports wavelength tunable optical modules. If the wavelength tunable optical module is configured, it can realize that the WDM side optical signal can be tunable in the 80-wave range in the 50 GHz interval of C-band.

  • Provides the following monitoring functions: laser bias current monitoring, laser operating temperature monitoring, optical power monitoring, etc.

  • Supports OTN performance monitoring and alarm monitoring.

Relay board

The WDM side signal of N401 single board can be relayed by other N401, N402, LTX, NS4 single boards of the same type. For example:

  • N401 single board of type T01 can relay through other N401, N402, LTX, NS4 single boards of type T01. That is, TNV1N401T01 veneer can be trunked through TNV1N401, TNV2N401, TNV2N402, TN11LTX, TN12LTX, TN54NS4, TN57NS4 veneer boards of type T01.
