    OSN9800 2x100 Gbit/s Line Service Processing Board

    The OSN9800 N402 boards are available in the following functional versions: TNU1, TNU2, TNU3, TNU5, TNV1, TNV2, TNV3. The boards belong to the OTN line class of boards and realize the interconversion of the following signals: 160 x ODU0/80 x ODU1/20 x ODU2/20 x ODU2e/4 x ODU3/2 x ODU4/. 160 x ODUflex<->2 x OTU4. 160 x ODUflex<->2 x OTU4. OTU4 is a DWDM standard wavelength compliant with ITU-T G.694.1 recommendation. The same optical port supports mixed transmission of ODU0, ODU1, ODU2/ODU2e, ODU3, ODUflex.N402 adopts coherent reception technology and is applied in coherent systems. The single board supports functions and features such as electrical layer crossover, OTN interface, and ESC. The single board consists of WDM side optical module, signal processing module, control and communication module, and power module.

    Attention:

    Single boards using different optical line code types cannot be docked, for example, QPSK, QPSK wDCM, QPSK wDCM-Enhanced are different code types, T51 uses QPSK, T61 uses QPSK wDCM, and they cannot be docked;

    T6x supports AFEC level configurable, docking is supported only when the AFEC level is configured to be the same at both ends.The transmission distance of T6x is compared as follows: T61>T62>T65, and the actual transmission distance is based on the shorter one after docking of different veneers;

    Single boards with different error correction codes cannot be docked. HFEC, SDFEC, SDFEC2, etc. are different error correction codes.


    Functions and Features

    The OSN9800 N402 single board supports functions and features such as layer crossing, OTN interface, ESC, etc. The N402 single board supports line mode and trunk mode. The functions and features of line mode and trunk mode are shown in Table 1 and Table 2, respectively.

    Realizes interconversion of the following signals:

    Mixed transmission of ODU0, ODU1, ODU2, ODU2e, ODU3, ODUflex is supported on the same optical port.

    Crossover Capability

    Support to realize service scheduling with cross board.

    OTN Functions
    • The OTU4 interface is supported on the wavelength division side.
    • Adopts ITU-T G.709 recommended frame format and overhead handling.
    • OTU4 layer: supports SM overhead processing.
    • ODUk (k=0, 1, 2, 2e, 3, 4, flex) layer: supports PM and TCM overhead processing, as well as non-intervention monitoring of PM and TCM.
    WDM Specifications

    Supports ITU-T G.694.1 specifications for DWDM.

    Wavelength Tunable Function

    Supports wavelength tunable optical modules. If the wavelength tunable optical module is configured, it can realize that the WDM side optical signal can be tunable in the 80-wave range in the C-band 50 GHz interval.

    TNU5N402 can realize that the wavelength-division side optical signal is adjustable within the 96-wave range of the extended C-band 50 GHz interval.

    Relay board

    The WDM side signal of N402 board can be relayed by other N401, N402, LTX, NS4 boards of the same FEC type. For example:

    • N402 single board of type T11 can relay through other N401, N402, LTX, NS4 single boards of type T11. That is, the TNU1N402T11 veneer can be trunked through the TNU1N401, TNU1N402, TN54NS4, TN56NS4, TN11LTX, and TN12LTX veneers of type T11.

    • Port-level M:N protection: supported only for TNU3N402/TNU5N402/TNV3N402 single boards. For TNU3N402/TNU5N402/TNV3N402 single boards, port-level M:N protection is only supported by ver.c and above.
    Description:

    Branch SNCP protection is not supported when the scheduling granule is ODUflex.
