Huawei OTN OSN8800 TN12LOG Hardware Description

The TN12LOG single board belongs to the optical wavelength conversion class of single boards, which is applied to realize the mutual conversion between 8-channel GE service optical signals and OTU2 optical signals of standard wavelengths in compliance with the requirements of WDM systems.

The application of TN11LOG single board in WDM system is shown in Figure 1.

Optix OSN8800 TN12LOG 8-channel GE Services Aggregation Board Functions and Features

The LOG board supports optical wavelength conversion, electrical layer crossover, OTN interface, ESC, and other functions and features.

The specific functions and features of the LOG single board are shown in Table 1.

Description:

The TN12LOG single board supports both GE electrical signals and GE optical signals. When accessing GE electrical signals, it is recommended to configure up to 2 electrical modules for the convenience of fiber routing.

Crossover Capability
  • OptiX OSN 8800: None.

  • OptiX OSN 6800: Supports each 8-channel GE service to be interconnected with the main and standby crossover boards through the backplane; supports 8-channel GE service to be interconnected with the dyadic board position through the backplane.

  • OptiX OSN 3800: Supports the scheduling of 8-channel GE services to the other 3 single boards of a 4-board position mesh group.

OTN Function
  • Supports WDM side OTU2 interface.

  • Adopts ITU-T G.709 recommended frame format and overhead processing.

  • Supports TCM and PM functions at ODU2 layer.

  • Support SM function of OTU2 layer.

WDM Specifications

Supports DWDM specifications of ITU-T G.694.1.

Wavelength Tunable Function

Supports wavelength tunable optical modules. Realizable.

  • Wavelength division side optical signals are adjustable in the 40-wave range at 100 GHz interval in C-band.

  • The wavelength of the optical signal is adjustable within the 80-wave range of the C-band 50 GHz interval.

  • Supports FEC encoding and conforms to ITU-T G.709 recommendations.

  • Supports AFEC-2 encoding, compliant with ITU-T G.975.1 recommendations.

Description:

Veneers with different error correction codes cannot be docked.

Performance Surveillance and Alarm Monitoring
  • Provides BIP8 byte monitoring (burst mode) to locate line faults.

  • Supports OTN performance monitoring and alarm monitoring functions.

  • Provides the following monitoring functions: laser bias current monitoring, laser operating temperature monitoring, optical power monitoring, etc.

  • Provides Ethernet RMON monitoring function.

Relay board
  • WDM side signals of TN11LOG single board can be relayed through other TN11LSXR single boards.

  • The WDM side signal of TN12LOG single board can be relayed through other TN12ND2/TN52ND2/TN53ND2/TN57ND2/TN55NO2/TN55NH2/TN53NQ2/TN54NQ2/TN57NQ2 single boards.
