OSN8800 TN55TTX Tributary Board Parameters

Huawei WDM TN55TTX single board belongs to the tributary class of single boards, realizing the interconversion between 10-channel 10GE LAN/10GE WAN/STM-64/OC-192/OTU2/OTU2e/FC800/FC1200 service optical signals and 10-channel ODU2/ODU2e/ODUflex electrical signals.

The Optix OSN8800 TN55TTX (10 x 10G tributary service processing board) single board in the WDM system is shown in Figure 1.

The TTX single board supports functions and features such as electrical layer crossing.

The TTX single board functions and features, as shown in Table 1.

  • Only TN55TTX supports ODUflex scheduling.

10GE LAN: Ethernet service at 10.31 Gbit/s

10GE WAN: Ethernet service at 9.95 Gbit/s

OTU2: OTN service at 10.71 Gbit/s

OTU2e: OTN service at 11.1Gbit/s

FC800: SAN service at 8.5 Gbit/s

FC1200: SAN service at 10.51Gbit/s

Description:

Only the TN55TTX supports access to OTU2/OTU2e/FC800/FC1200 services.

Cross-capability

Supports 10 ODU2/ODU2e/ODUflex signals to realize cross-scheduling of services through the backplane bus with the crossover board.

Description:

Only the TN55TTX supports ODUflex scheduling.

OTN Features.
  • Mapping processing meets ITU-T G.709 with ITU-T G.709 recommended frame format and overhead processing.

  • ODU2/ODUflex layer: supports PM and TCM overhead processing, as well as non-intervention monitoring of PM and TCM.

  • OTU2 layer: supports SM function.

ESC function

Supported when accessing OTU2/OTU2e services.

Description:

Supports ESC function for up to 8 channels.

PRBS Function

The PRBS function is supported on the client side.

Description:

The PRBS function is supported on the client side only when accessing STM-64/OC-192/OTU2/OTU2e services.

The TN54TTX can only configure PRBS for one port at the same time. the TN55TTX has no such restriction.

LPT FunctionThe LPT function is supported only when the client-side service type is 10GE LAN.
Error Correction Coding
  • TN54TTX: not supported

  • TN55TTX: FEC coding is supported on the customer side only when OTU2/OTU2e is accessed, in accordance with ITU-T G.709 recommendations.

Performance Monitoring and Alarm Monitoring
  • Provides BIP8 byte monitoring (burst mode), which can locate line faults.

  • Provides the following monitoring functions: laser bias current monitoring, laser operating temperature monitoring, optical power monitoring, etc.

  • Supports OTN performance monitoring and alarm monitoring.

  • With Ethernet (10GE LAN) RMON monitoring function.

ALS Function

Supported on the client side when accessing non-OTN services.

Test frame function
  • TN54TTX: Not supported

  • TN55TTX: Test frame function is supported when the customer side is accessing 10GE LAN service and the "Port Service Mapping Path" is "MAC Transparent Mapping (10.7G)".

Delay MeasurementThe single board supports delay measurement. It can measure the bidirectional delay of ODUk layer between two tributary boards, and the delay data is displayed on the network management.

Description:

When the client side accesses OTU2/OTU2e services, delay measurement is not supported.

Only one port can be configured for delay measurement at the same time.

IEEE 1588v2
  • TN54TTX: not supported

  • TN55TTX: TC mode, TC+OC mode, BC mode and OC mode are supported when the client side accesses 10GE LAN service and the "Port Service Mapping Path" is "MAC Transparent Mapping (10.7G)".

Physical layer clock

TN54TTX: When the client side accesses 10GE LAN service and the port service mapping path is Bit Transparent Mapping (11.1G), synchronous Ethernet pass-through is supported, and synchronous Ethernet processing is not supported.

TN55TTX: When the customer side accesses 10GE LAN service and the port service mapping path is Bit transparent mapping (11.1G), synchronous Ethernet passthrough is supported and synchronous Ethernet processing is not supported; when the port service mapping path is MAC transparent mapping (10.7G), synchronous Ethernet processing is supported and synchronous Ethernet passthrough is not supported.

  • Supports ODUk SNCP protection.

  • Supports client-side 1+1 protection.

  • Supports branch SNCP protection.

Description:

Supports branch SNCP protection only when the customer side accesses OTN service, SDH/SONET service, and 10GE WAN service.

Ethernet service encapsulation method
  • TN54TTX: Bit transparent mapping (11.1G)

  • TN55TTX: Bit transparent mapping (11.1G), MAC transparent mapping (10.7G).

Port MTU1518 to 9600 bytes, i.e. supports Jumbo frames up to 9600 bytes.

Description:

  • Only TN55TTX supports port MTU.

  • When the "Port Service Mapping Path" is "Bit Transparent Mapping (11.1G)", port MTU setting is not supported.
