    Huawei Optical Transmission Equipment OSN8800 TN13OAU Technical Specifications

    The OAU1 single board belongs to the fiber amplifier class of single boards, which completes the amplification function of optical signals, and can be used at the transmitter and receiver ends.

    The application of the OAU1 single board in the WDM system is shown in Figure 1.

    OSN8800 TN13OAU Functions and Features

    OAU1 single board supports gain adjustment, online optical performance monitoring, gain locking technology, transient control technology and other functions and features.

    The specific functions and features of the OAU1 single board are shown in Table 1.

    Functions and Features Description
    Basic Functions
    • It can amplify the input optical signals of C-band, and the total wavelength range covers 1529nm~1561nm.
    • It can support the system to realize powerless relay transmission across different bands.
    Gain Adjustment
    OAU1 single board adjusts the gain according to the input optical power, and realizes continuous adjustability within the following overall gain range:
    • OAU100: 16dB to 25.5dB
    • OAU101/OAU102: 20dB~31dB
    • OAU103: 24dB~36dB
    • OAU105: 23dB~34dB
    • OAU106:16dB~23dB
    • OAU107: 19dB to 27dB, supports adjustable maximum total output power.
    Description:

    The OAU1 indicator only provides the nominal gain value of the OAU1 single board, and the actual detected value differs from the nominal gain value.

    Online Optical Performance Monitoring

    Provides an online monitoring optical port, from which a small amount of optical signals can be output to a spectrum analyzer or a spectrum analyzer board to monitor the spectral and optical performance of the combined wave optical signals without interrupting the service.

    Gain Locking Technology The EDFA within the single board has a gain locking function, which does not affect the signal gain of other channels when increasing or decreasing one or several channels or when some channels fluctuate in optical signals.
    Working Modes Supports gain lock mode and power lock mode.
    • In gain lock mode, the EDFA gain is adjustable and supports the query of actual gain. Gain lock mode is used by default.
    • Power lock mode, when applied to Dummy Light scene, you need to set the output light power lock.
    Transient Control Technology The EDFA in the single board has the transient control function, which enables the system to realize smooth upgrade and expansion by suppressing the fluctuation of channel optical power when adding or reducing channels.
    Performance Monitoring and Alarm Monitoring
    • Detection and reporting of optical power
    • Provide temperature control of pump laser
    • Provide pump drive current, backlight current, cooling current, pump laser temperature detection and single-board ambient temperature detection.
    Optical layer ASON Support
    Description:
    TN11OAU1 does not support "SOM equalization" for single-wave modulation of the optical layer.
