OSN8800 TN55TQX tributary board parameters

OSN8800 TN55TQX single board belongs to the tributary type single board, which realizes the interconversion between 4-channel 10GE LAN/10GE WAN/STM-64/OC-192/OTU2/OTU2e/FC800/FC1200 service optical signals and 4-channel ODU2/ODU2e/ODUflex electrical signals.


The OSN8800 TN55TQX 4 x 10G tributary service processing board single board in the WDM system is shown in Figure 1.

The TQX single board supports functions and features such as electrical layer crossing.

Description:

Only TN52TQX/TN53TQX/TN55TQX/TN57TQX support OTU2 and OTU2e services.

Only TN53TQX/TN55TQX/TN57TQX support FC800, FC1200 services.

10GE WAN is processed the same as STM-64. For TN11TQX/TN52TQX, it is enough to configure as STM-64 on the network management when transmitting 10GE WAN service.

Crossover Capability

The TQX supports 4 ODU2/ODU2e/ODUflex signals to realize cross-scheduling of services with the cross board via the backplane bus.

Description:

Only the TN55TQX/TN57TQX supports ODUflex scheduling.

OTN Functions
  • Mapping processing meets ITU-T G.709, G.Sup43 recommendations with ITU-T G.709 recommended frame format and overhead processing.

  • Supports PM function of ODU2 layer on the backplane side.

  • TN52TQX/TN53TQX/TN55TQX/TN57TQX single board supports TCM and SM functions when accessing OTN services.

ESC Function

Supported when TN52TQX/TN53TQX/TN55TQX/TN57TQX client side accesses OTU2/OTU2e services

Error correction coding

FEC coding is supported on the client side only when accessing OTU2/OTU2e, in accordance with ITU-T G.709 recommendations.

Performance Monitoring and Alarm Monitoring
  • Provides BIP8 byte monitoring (burst mode), which can locate line faults.

  • Provides B1 byte monitoring, which can locate line faults.

  • Provides the following monitoring functions: laser bias current monitoring, laser operating temperature monitoring, optical power monitoring, etc.

  • Supports OTN performance monitoring and alarm monitoring functions.

  • With Ethernet (10GE LAN) RMON monitoring function.

ALS Function

Supported on the client side when accessing non-OTN services.

PRBS test function

PRBS function is supported on the client side.

Description:

The PRBS function is supported on the client side only when accessing STM-64/OC-192, OTU2, and OTU2e services.

LPT Function.

The LPT function is supported only when the service type on the customer side is 10GE LAN.

Test frame functionTest frame function is supported when the customer side accesses 10GE LAN service and the "Port Service Mapping Path" is "MAC Transparent Mapping (10.7G)".
Delay MeasurementTN53TQX/TN55TQX(standard mode)/TN57TQX boards support delay measurement. The bidirectional delay of ODUk layer between two tributary boards can be measured, and the delay data is displayed on the network management.

Description:

When the customer side accesses OTU2/OTU2e services, the delay measurement is not supported.

IEEE 1588v2

TN55TQX supports TC mode, TC+OC mode, BC mode and OC mode when the client side accesses 10GE LAN service and the "Port Service Mapping Path" is "MAC Transparent Mapping (10.7G)".

Physical Layer Clock

TN55TQX.

  • When the client side accesses 10GE LAN service and the port service mapping path is "Bit Transparent Mapping (11.1G)", synchronous Ethernet pass-through is supported, and synchronous Ethernet processing is not supported.

  • When the customer side accesses 10GE LAN service and the port service mapping path is "MAC transparent mapping (10.7G)", synchronous Ethernet processing is supported and synchronous Ethernet pass-through is not supported.

TN52TQX/TN53TQX: When the customer side accesses 10GE LAN service and the port service mapping path is "Bit Transparent Mapping (11.1G)", Synchronous Ethernet pass-through is supported and Synchronous Ethernet processing is not supported.

Protection Mode
  • ODUk SNCP protection is supported.

  • Supports customer-side 1+1 protection.

  • Supports branch SNCP protection.

Description:

When the scheduling granule is ODUflex, branch SNCP protection is not supported.

Description:

Branch SNCP protection is supported only when the customer side accesses OTN services, SDH/SONET services, and 10GE WAN services.

Ethernet service encapsulation method

Bit transparent mapping (11.1G), MAC transparent mapping (10.7G)

Port MTU1518~9600 bytes, i.e. supports Jumbo frames up to 9600 bytes.

Description:

When the "Port Service Mapping Path" is "Bit Transparent Mapping (11.1G)", port MTU setting is not supported.
