Protection requirements

The specific functions and characteristics are shown in Table 1. Table 1 Functions and features of the OBU single board
The OBU single board supports optical power amplification, online optical performance detection, performance monitoring, gain locking and alarm monitoring, and other functions and features.
|
Functions and Characteristics |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Basic Functions |
Simultaneous amplification of C-band optical signals with up to 40 channels (channel spacing of 100 GHz). Characterized by a small noise index. |
|
Nominal Gain |
The nominal gain is 23dB. Description:
The nominal gain value of the OBU single board is 23dB, the actual gain contains noise and the value is greater than the nominal gain value. |
|
Gain Locking Technology |
Supports the automatic gain control function, which has no effect on online services when adding or subtracting channels. |
|
Transient Control Technology |
The EDFA in the single board has transient control function, which enables the system to realize smooth upgrade and expansion by suppressing the fluctuation of channel optical power when increasing or decreasing channels. |
|
Online Optical Performance Monitoring |
The online monitoring port "MON" is provided, from which a small amount of optical signals can be output to a spectrum analyzer or a spectrum analyzer board to monitor the spectrum and optical performance of optical signals online without interrupting the service. |
|
Output optical power automatic shutdown |
When no optical signal is received at the receiving end, the single board will automatically shut down the laser at the transmitting end of the EDFA module, avoiding the harm of laser to human body. |
|
Adjustable light attenuation |
Interface VO/VI can adjust the transmit optical power or receive optical power of the single board by inserting and placing SFP EVOA module. |
|
Alarm and performance monitoring |

WDM Specifications |
Supports DWDM specifications. |
