Protection requirements

The OSN1800II TNF2ELOM single board supports wavelength conversion, service aggregation, ALS, and other functions and features.

GE services adopt the encapsulation methods of GFP-T and TTT-GMP (shown as GE (TTT-GMP) on the network management). |

Alarm and Performance Monitoring |
Provides B1, SM_BIP8, PM_BIP8 byte monitoring, which can locate where the line is faulty. Provides the following WDM side monitoring functions: laser bias current monitoring, laser operating temperature monitoring, optical power monitoring, etc. Supports RMON performance monitoring for GE, FE and 10GE LAN services. |

OTN Function |
Supports customer-side 10GE LAN service mapping to OTU2/OTU2e signaling, FC1200/FICON 10G service mapping to OTU2e signaling, and other services mapping to OTU2 signaling. Adopt ITU-T G.709 recommended frame format and overhead processing. ELOM supports PM function at ODU2/ODUflex/ODU1/ODU0 layers and SM function at OTU2/OTU1 layers. |

It supports wavelength tunable optical module, which can realize the wavelength division side optical signal is tunable in the 40-wave range of C-band 100GHz interval. |

ALS Function |
When the WDM side or the customer side cannot receive the optical signal, the OTU board will turn off the laser on the customer side accordingly to avoid the laser harm to human body.
Description: Only the customer-side optical port supports the configuration of ALS function. |

ESC function is supported to combine the monitoring information into the service channel for transmission. |

LPT Function |
Supports the link-through function for GE/FE/10GE LAN services. |

PRBS test function |
Supports the generation and monitoring of PRBS signals for OTU1/STM-1/STM-4/STM-16/STM-64/OC-3/OC-12/OC-48/OC-192/GE/10GE LAN services on the client side channel, and detects the status of the transmission line by comparing the transmit signal with the loopback signal. Description:
PRBS test is not supported when the access service type is 10GE LAN and Bit transparent mapping (11.1 G) is used. |
