    Huawei OTN Wavelength Conversion Board OSN1800II TNF2ELOM Function Introduction

    The OSN1800II TNF2ELOM single board supports wavelength conversion, service aggregation, ALS, and other functions and features.

    The specific functions and features are shown in Table 1.

    Description

    Basic Functions

    ELOM single board supports three working modes and the basic functions are as follows:

    • 1*AP8 general mode
      • ODU0 non-aggregate mode: 8 x Any (125Mbit/s ~ 1.25Gbit/s) <-> 2xOTU2
      • ODU1 aggregation mode: 8 x Any (125Mbit/s to 2.46Gbit/s) <-> 2xOTU2
      • ODU1 non-aggregated mode: 8 x Any (1.5Gbit/s to 2.67Gbit/s) <-> 2xOTU2
      • ODUflex non-aggregated mode: 8 x Any (2.5Gbit/s to 4.25Gbit/s) <-> 2xOTU2
      Description:

      If the on-board 1+1 protection or ODUk SNCP protection is configured, the signals accessed on the customer side are aggregated into the optical signals of 1xOTU2, and the wavelength division side interface supports dual transmitter-receiver selection.

    • 1*AP1 ODU2 mode
      • 1 x Any (4.9Gbit/s to 10.5Gbit/s) <-> 1xOTU2/OTU2e
      • The wavelength division side optical port supports dual transmitter-receiver selection.
    • 1*AP1 ODUflex mode
      • 1 x CPRI option6/FC800/FICON 8G <-> 1xOTU2
      • The wavelength division side optical port supports dual send selective receive.

    Service Type

    • OTU1: OTN service, rate is 2.67Gbit/s.
    • 10GE LAN: Ethernet service, with a rate of 10.31 Gbit/s. There are two port mapping paths for 10GE LAN service: Bit transparent mapping (11.1G) and MAC transparent mapping (10.7G).
    • 10GE WAN: Ethernet service with a rate of 9.95 Gbit/s.
    • STM-1: SDH service at a rate of 155.52 Mbit/s.
    • STM-4: SDH service at a rate of 622.08 Mbit/s.
    • STM-16: SDH service at a rate of 2.488 Gbit/s.
    • STM-64: SDH service at a rate of 9.95 Gbit/s.
    • OC-3: SONET service at 155.52 Mbit/s.
    • OC-12: SONET service at 622.08 Mbit/s.
    • OC-48: SONET service at 2.488Gbit/s.
    • OC-192: SONET service at a rate of 9.95 Gbit/s.
    • FE: Fast Ethernet service at a rate of 125 Mbit/s. Supports FE optical or electrical signals.
    • GE: Ethernet service at a rate of 1.25 Gbit/s. Supports GE optical or electrical signals.
    • ESCON: Enterprise System Connectivity service at 200 Mbit/s. Supports FE optical or electrical signals.
    • FC100: Fibre Channel service at a rate of 1.06Gbit/s.
    • FC200: Fibre Channel service at a rate of 2.12Gbit/s.
    • FC400: Fibre Channel service at a rate of 4.25Gbit/s.
    • FC800: Fibre Channel service at 8.5Gbit/s.
    • FC1200: Fibre Channel service at a rate of 10.51 Gbit/s.
    • FICON: Fiber optic connection service at 1.06 Gbit/s.
    • FICON4G: fiber-optic connection service at a rate of 4.25 Gbit/s.
    • FICON 8G: fiber-optic connection service at 8.5 Gbit/s.
    • FICON 10G: fiber-optic connection service at 10.51 Gbit/s.
    • FICON EXPRESS: fiber-optic connection service at 2.12 Gbit/s.
    • DVB-ASI: digital TV service at 270 Mbit/s.
    • SDI: Digital TV service at 270Mbit/s.
    • HD-SDI: High-definition digital TV service at a rate of 1.485Gbit/s or 1.4835Gbit/s.
    • 3G-SDI: High-definition digital television service, the rate is 2.97Gbit/s.
    • CPRI option2: rate of 1.2288Gbit/s.
    • CPRI option3: rate of 2.4576Gbit/s.
    • CPRI option6: at a rate of 6.144 Gbit/s.
    • CPRI option7: the rate is 9.83Gbit/s.
    Description:

    According to the SMPTE 259M standard, "SDI" is also called "SD-SDI".

    FEC type

    The ELOM single board line side supports both FEC and AFEC-2 modes.

    Description:

    Veneers with different error correction codes cannot be docked.

    Service Encapsulation Method

    GE services adopt the encapsulation methods of GFP-T and TTT-GMP (shown as GE (TTT-GMP) on the network management).

    10GE LAN services use GFP-F and BMP encapsulation.

    Alarm and Performance Monitoring

    Provides B1, SM_BIP8, PM_BIP8 byte monitoring, which can locate where the line is faulty.

    Provides the following WDM side monitoring functions: laser bias current monitoring, laser operating temperature monitoring, optical power monitoring, etc.

    Supports RMON performance monitoring for GE, FE and 10GE LAN services.

    OTN Function

    Supports customer-side 10GE LAN service mapping to OTU2/OTU2e signaling, FC1200/FICON 10G service mapping to OTU2e signaling, and other services mapping to OTU2 signaling.

    Adopt ITU-T G.709 recommended frame format and overhead processing.

    ELOM supports PM function at ODU2/ODUflex/ODU1/ODU0 layers and SM function at OTU2/OTU1 layers.

    Wavelength Tunable Function

    It supports wavelength tunable optical module, which can realize the wavelength division side optical signal is tunable in the 40-wave range of C-band 100GHz interval.

    Synchronized Ethernet Function

    Support synchronous Ethernet clock transmission, clock quality meets G.8261 standard.

    Protection Mode

    • Supports on-board 1+1 protection
    • Supports client-side 1+1 protection
    • Support ODUk SNCP (k=0, 1, 2, flex) protection
    Description:

    The single board supports only ODU2 SNCP protection in 1*AP1 ODU2 mode.

    Loopback.

    • Supports WDM side inner loopback
    • Supports WDM-side outer loopback
    • Supports client-side inner loopback
    • Supports client-side outer loopback

    ALS Function

    When the WDM side or the customer side cannot receive the optical signal, the OTU board will turn off the laser on the customer side accordingly to avoid the laser harm to human body.
    Description:
    Only the customer-side optical port supports the configuration of ALS function.

    ESC Function

    ESC function is supported to combine the monitoring information into the service channel for transmission.

    Crossover Function

    • Intra-board crossover
      • The single-board 1*AP8 universal mode supports the crossover function of ODU0, ODU1 and ODUflex on the board. When the port mode is ODU1 aggregation mode, it also supports the crossover function of Any optical service in the rate range of 125Mbit/s to 2.46Gbit/s within the board.
      • The cross-over function of ODU2 in the board is supported in the single-board 1*AP1 ODU2 mode.
      • In single-board 1*AP1 ODUflex mode, it supports the crossover function of ODUflex in the board.
    • Inter-board crossover
      • is not supported.

    LPT Function

    Supports the link-through function for GE/FE/10GE LAN services.

    PRBS test function

    Supports the generation and monitoring of PRBS signals for OTU1/STM-1/STM-4/STM-16/STM-64/OC-3/OC-12/OC-48/OC-192/GE/10GE LAN services on the client side channel, and detects the status of the transmission line by comparing the transmit signal with the loopback signal.

    Description:
    PRBS test is not supported when the access service type is 10GE LAN and Bit transparent mapping (11.1 G) is used.

    WDM Specifications
