The PL3 single board supports E3/T3 signal processing, overhead processing, alarms and performance events, maintenance features, and TPS protection.

The specific functions and features of the PL3 single board are shown in Table 1.

Functions and Features	Description
Basic Functions	Processes 3 E3/T3 signals.
Service Processing	Accesses and processes 3-way E3/T3 electrical signals. N2PL3 supports the E13 function, which mainly realizes the aggregation of low-level service E1 to high-level service E3. N2PL3 supports M13 function, mainly realizing the aggregation of low-level service T1 to high-level service T3.
Overhead processing	Supports the setting and querying of all channel overheads at the VC-3 level.
Alarm and Performance	Provides rich alarms and performance events for easy device management and maintenance.
Maintenance Features	Supports the inner loopback and outer loopback functions of the electrical interface. Supports soft reset and hard reset, soft reset does not affect the service. Support the query function of veneer manufacturing information. Support FPGA online loading function. Support smooth upgrade of veneer software. Supports PRBS function, see Availability. N1PL3 does not support CRC function, N2PL3 supports CRC function.
Protection Mode	TPS protection is supported in conjunction with the outgoing board and the inverted bridge board.
