The SPQ4 is a 4-channel E4/STM-1 electrical signal processing board that supports overhead processing, alarm and performance, protection, and maintenance features.

- Supports segment overhead processing for STM-1 signals, overhead bytes include B1, B2, K1, K2, M1, F1, D1 to D12, etc.
- Support processing of channel overhead (transparent transmission and termination), overhead bytes include J1, B3, C2, G1, H4.
- Supports setting and querying of J0/J1/C2 bytes.
