SLH41 realizes the reception and transmission of 16-channel STM-1/STM-4 optical signals, completes the photoelectric conversion of STM-1/STM-4 signals, the extraction and insertion processing of overhead bytes, and reports the alarms generated on the line.

The specific functions and characteristics of the SLH41 single board are shown in Table 1.

Functions and Features	Description
Basic Functions	Receive and transmit 16-channel STM-1/STM-4 optical signals.
Optical interface specification	Optional STM-1/STM-4 optical module, support optical port adaptive function. When STM-1 optical module is selected, it supports the standard optical interfaces of S-1.1, L-1.1 and L-1.2, and the optical interface characteristics are in accordance with ITU-T G.957 recommendations. When STM-4 optical module is selected, it supports S-4.1 and L-4.2 standard optical interfaces, and the optical interface characteristics are in accordance with ITU-T G.957 recommendations. Support CWDM and DWDM color optical interface, the optical interface adopts LC connector. 80km transmission distance is supported for CWDM optical interface, 120km transmission distance is supported for DWDM optical interface.
Optical Module Specifications	Support SFP optical module. Support optical module information detection and query. Support single-fiber bi-directional optical module, single-fiber bi-directional optical module does not support the use of pigtails for optical interface loopback. The optical interface provides laser open and close settings and laser automatic shutdown function.
Service Processing	Support VC-12/VC-3/VC-4 service when STM-1 optical module is selected. When STM-4 optical module is selected, VC-12/VC-3/VC-4 services and VC-4-4c cascade services are supported.
Overhead processing	Supports segment overhead processing for STM-1/STM-4 signals. Supports processing of channel overhead (transparent transmission and termination). Supports setting and querying of J0/J1/C2 bytes. Supports 1 to 16-channel ECC communication. The first 8 optical ports support ECC communication in D1 to D12 channel mode, and the last 8 optical ports support ECC communication in D1 to D3 channel mode.
Alarm and Performance	Provides rich alarms and performance events for easy management and maintenance of the device.
Protection Mode	Supports two-fiber multiplexing segment ring protection (only two-fiber unidirectional protection is supported when STM-1 optical module is selected). Supports quad-fiber multiplexing segment ring protection. Supports linear multiplexing segment protection. Supports SNCP protection. Supports SNCMP protection. Support SNCTP protection.
Maintenance Features	Supports inner loopback and outer loopback functions at the optical port level. Supports VC-4 channel inner loopback and outer loopback functions. Support soft reset and hard reset, soft reset does not affect the service. Support the query function of veneer manufacturing information. Support FPGA online loading function. Support smooth upgrade of veneer software. Supports PRBS function, see Availability. Support one-button data acquisition.
