SLH41 realizes the reception and transmission of 16-channel STM-1/STM-4 optical signals, completes the photoelectric conversion of STM-1/STM-4 signals, the extraction and insertion processing of overhead bytes, and reports the alarms generated on the line.
The specific functions and characteristics of the SLH41 single board are shown in Table 1.

| Optical interface specification |
Optional STM-1/STM-4 optical module, support optical port adaptive function.
- When STM-1 optical module is selected, it supports the standard optical interfaces of S-1.1, L-1.1 and L-1.2, and the optical interface characteristics are in accordance with ITU-T G.957 recommendations.
- When STM-4 optical module is selected, it supports S-4.1 and L-4.2 standard optical interfaces, and the optical interface characteristics are in accordance with ITU-T G.957 recommendations.
Support CWDM and DWDM color optical interface, the optical interface adopts LC connector. 80km transmission distance is supported for CWDM optical interface, 120km transmission distance is supported for DWDM optical interface.

- Support single-fiber bi-directional optical module, single-fiber bi-directional optical module does not support the use of pigtails for optical interface loopback.
