OSN3500 SSN1IXCSA Infinite Cross Clock Boards
  • The OSN3500 SSN1IXCSA is an infinite cross-clocking board, and there is only one SSN1IXCSA version. It provides service scheduling, clock input and output, and other functions in the OptiX OSN3500 system. The cross-clock board provides timing information to other single boards in the system and accomplishes the scheduling of services between each line board and each branch board. The veneer board can be inserted in slots 9 and 10 of the subrack.

    The parameters of the OSN3500 SSN1IXCSA board can be configured through the T2000 network management system.The parameters of the IXCSA board that need to be set through the network management are as follows: no external clock and SSM is not enabled, you need to give the following parameter configurations, the clock reference source, the tracking level of the clock source, the configuration of the external clock and SSM is enabled, the following parameter configurations are required, the clock reference source, the tracking level, the clock can work in the following modes: locking tracking level, the clock can work in the following modes: lock mode, hold mode, free oscillation mode, the type of external BITS: set the S1 byte, select the threshold of the clock inversion protection action.     Clock Unit

    Inputs and outputs Through AUX single board:
    • Supports inputting 2 channels of 2048kHz or 2048kbit/s timing signals, and provides the function of selecting external timing sources.
    • Supports output of 2-channel 2048kHz or 2048kbit/s timing signals.


    OSN3500 IXCSA Single Board Tuning and Configuration

    After selecting the correct single board, you need to test and configure the single board. It contains four parts: single-board hardware check, single-board configuration, single-board tuning and verification test.

    Hardware Check

    1. Required: Check the hardware of the single board:
      • The marking on the handle bar of the single board should be correct and clear.
      • Veneer fasteners are secure and not loose.
      • Veneer front and back of each device is complete, the surface is normal, no obvious signs of damage.
    2. Required: Confirmation of the slot and the installation of the main backup veneer.
    3. Required: Insert and place the veneer, the method of inserting and placing the veneer, please refer to the field replacement of the veneer. The veneer should be inserted along the guide channel to the bottom of the subrack and the veneer handle bar should be properly fastened.
    4. REQUIRED: Observe the status of each indicator of the veneer during and after the power-up process. See Device and Board Alarm Indicators for LED status descriptions.
    5. Required: Check the version matching relationship between the single board and the host, network management, to ensure that the single board version matching the use of error-free.
    6. Required: Check the micro-switch of the single board: if the handle bar of the main and backup cross boards are closed, pull open the handle bar of the main board to realize the reversal of the main and backup.

    Single Board Configuration

    1. Add the logical single board, please refer to Add Single Board for specific operation.
    2. Network management configuration parameters, you need to configure the following main parameters:
      • Clock synchronization status
      • Clock source priority table
      • External clock source output phase-locked source
      • Clock source inversion
      • Clock subnet settings
