Protection requirements

OSN3500 SXCSA is a super cross-clock board, which provides service scheduling, clock input and output functions in OptiX OSN system. The cross-clock board provides timing information to other single boards in the system, realizes the convergence and scheduling of various services, and completes the communication with other single boards in the system and the configuration management of other single boards.

The functional version of the OSN 3500 SXCSA veneer board is N1. The N1SXCSA supports the veneer-compatible replacement feature, which replaces the N1EXCSA or N1UXCSA veneer board. After replacement, the configuration and service status of the N1SXCSA single board are consistent with the N1EXCSA or N1UXCSA before replacement. It accomplishes 200 Gbit/s VC-4 high-order crossover, 20 Gbit/s VC-3/VC-12 low-order crossover, and 155 Gbit/s access capability.
OSN3500 SXCSA functions and features
The SXCSA single board supports functions and features such as service scheduling, clock input and output, etc. The functions and features of the SXCSA are shown below.
Supports VC-4 high-order crossover and VC-3, VC-12, or AU-3 low-order crossover.
Provides flexible scheduling capability for services, supporting cross, multicast, and broadcast services.
Supports SNCP protection at VC4-4c, VC4-8c, VC4-16c, VC4-64c, VC-4, VC-12, VC-3, and AU-3 levels.
Supports cascading services VC4-4c, VC4-8c, VC4-16c and VC4-64c.
Supports 1+1 hot backup for single board, and the protection mode is non-recovery by default and can be configured as recovery.
Supports processing of S1 bytes to realize clock protection inversion.
Provide 2-way synchronized clock input and output, the clock signal can be set to 2MHz or 2Mbit/s respectively.
Provide communication function with other single boards.
Supports up to 40 linear multiplexed segment protection groups.
Supports up to 12 ring multiplexed segment protection groups.
Up to 1184 SNCP protection pairs are supported.
Supports up to 592 SNCMP protection pairs.
Supports up to 512 SNCTP protection pairs.
Supports microswitches for smooth protection inversion of cross-boards.
Supports PRBS function.
