OSN3500 SSN4GSCC System Control and Communication Boards

OSN3500 SSN4GSCC single board needs to set the following parameters through the network management: network element ID, network element name, date, time, F&f debugging serial port, OAM serial port, broadcast data port, F1 data port. The single board is an intelligent system control board, collaborating with the network management system to manage the various single boards of the device and realize the mutual communication between each device.GSCC single board supports the functions and characteristics of main control, official business, communication and system power monitoring. The single board consists of communication and control module, overhead processing module and power module. There are jumpers on the single board for setting the input voltage of the equipment and the operation status of the single board.

The functional versions of the GSCC single board are N1, N3, N4, and N6.

N6GSCC is used in V100R010C03SPC208/V100R010C03SPH221 and later versions.

Differences
  • DCC communication

  • Other:

    • N3GSCC supports CF card.

    • N1GSCC does not support CF cards.

    • N4GSCC/N6GSCC does not support CF cards.

    • Dial codes are different from jumpers.

SubstitutabilityThere is no direct substitution relationship. If you need a higher version of veneer to replace a lower version, the host software version needs to be upgraded.

Basic FunctionsRealize the configuration and scheduling functions of equipment services, monitor service performance, and collect performance events and alarm information.
Interface
  • Provides 10M/100M Ethernet interface for communication with the network management, and the Ethernet interface is led out through the AUX board.

  • Provides F&f interface for COA management, which is led out through the AUX board.

  • Provides one 64kbit/s synchronous data interface F1, which is led out through the AUX board.

  • Provides RS232 interface OAM (Operation Administration and Maintenance) for connecting with PC or workstation, and supports remote maintenance of Modem using RS232 DCE (Data Circuit-terminal Equipment) interface. The OAM port is connected to the AUX board.

DCC CommunicationSupports D1-D1, D1-D3, and D4-D12 channel types, see Network Management Information Interoperability.
Overhead processingProvides E1, E2, F1, Serial 1 to 4 byte processing.
Clock Function

Provides real clock RTC.

Alarm and Maintenance Features
  • Provides functions to monitor service performance and collect performance events and alarm information.

  • Provides 16-in/4-out alarm switching processing through the AUX single board.

  • Supports control of 4-way cabinet indicators through the AUX single board.

  • Provide intelligent fan speed control and fan alarm management.

  • Supports analog packet loading and diffusion loading.

Power Management
  • Provides -48V/-60V power monitoring function.

  • Provide in-position detection function of power access board and lightning protection module failure detection function in power access board.

Protection FunctionProvide 1+1 backup for system control and communication unit, and automatically reverse to the backup board when the main board fails.

J7100Single-board operation status settingJ7100 is a set of 5 rows of 2pin jumpers, the bottom row of jumpers are reserved and need to be vacated. For the first 4 rows of jumpers:

No jumper cap inserted: corresponding value = "0"

Insert jumper cap: corresponding value = "1"

A 4-digit binary number in ascending order from bottom to top, see Table 10.

J3202, J3201Input voltage setting for device use

No jumper cap: the device uses a power supply with an input voltage of -60V.

Both insert the jumper cap: the equipment uses the power supply with an input voltage of -48V, the default state.

Note: Please set J3202 and J3201 correctly according to the power supply voltage provided by the server room. If the setting is wrong, POWER_ABNORMAL power alarm will be generated. Table 10 J7100 jumper details

J30, J31Device use input voltage setting

2-3 or without jumper cap: jumper cap inserted on 2 or 3 or without jumper cap, the device uses the power supply with input voltage of -60V

1-2: the jumper cap is inserted on 1 or 2, the equipment uses the power supply with an input voltage of -48V, the default status.

Note: Please set J30 and J31 correctly according to the power supply voltage provided by the server room, if set incorrectly, it will generate POWER_ABNORMAL power alarm. Table 12 J11 jumper details
