The OptiX OSN equipment integrates access to Ethernet services and thus has the ability to transmit data services along with voice services.
Services supported by OptiX OSN devices include:
EPL services realize point-to-point transparent transmission of Ethernet services. As shown in Figure 1, Ethernet services from different network elements are transmitted to the destination node through their own independent VCTRUNK, thus realizing secure and reliable data transmission. The services are also protected by the SDH self-healing network.
OptiX OSN devices support EVPL services in two ways.
As shown in Figure 2, the services are flow categorized by VLAN ID to differentiate between the services of different departments of Company A. And the two services are transmitted in their own separate VCTRUNK.
Multi-point dynamic sharing can be realized through EPLAN service. OptiX OSN equipment adopts Virtual Bridge VB (Virtual Bridge) to realize the Layer 2 switching function of Ethernet data, i.e. EPLAN service.
Each network element in the system can establish one or more VBs, and each VB can establish a table based on MAC addresses, which is regularly updated by the system self-learning function. The accessed data can be transmitted by selecting different VCTRUNKs according to their destination MAC (Media Access Control) addresses. As shown in Figure 6.
EVPLAN service can realize dynamic sharing of multi-point service and support service isolation of the same VLAN data access. When a single node needs to access two data services with the same VLAN number at the same time and dynamically share the bandwidth, it can be realized by EVPLAN service.
The Ethernet board of OptiX OSN equipment adopts the VB+S-VLAN filter table method to realize EVPLAN service, as shown in Figure 1.
