Optix OSN3500 SSN4GSCC/SSN6GSCC Dial and Patch Cords

The Optix OSN3500 SSN4GSCC veneer board has jumpers for setting the device input voltage and veneer operating status.

Note:

The jumpers are only for use during single-board testing and maintenance, do not modify the settings of the jumpers arbitrarily to avoid causing single-board failures.

After setting the BIOS dialing code status and performing the corresponding operation of the single board, before restarting the single board, you need to reset the BIOS dialing code to zero (i.e., set the binary number to 0000). Otherwise, the single board can not enter the normal operating state.

SSN4GSCC/SSN6GSCC

The positions of jumpers J2101, J7100, J3201, J3202 on the N4GSCC single board are shown in Figure 1

The description of the jumpers on the N4GSCC single board is shown in Table 1.

Jumper Function Description
J2101 Battery enable

1-2: Jumper cap inserted on 1, 2 database and clock zeroing

2-3: Jumper cap inserted in 2, 3 battery enable, default state

J7100 Single-board operation status setting J7100 is a set of 5 rows of 2pin jumpers, the bottom row of jumpers are reserved and need to be vacated. For the first 4 rows of jumpers:

No jumper cap inserted: corresponding value = "0"

Insert jumper cap: corresponding value = "1"

A 4-digit binary number in ascending order from bottom to top, see Table 2.

J3202, J3201 Input voltage setting for device use

Both do not insert the jumper cap: equipment to use the input voltage of -60V power supply

Both insert the jumper cap: the device uses the power supply with an input voltage of -48V, the default state.


Attention:

Please set J3202 and J3201 correctly according to the power supply voltage provided by the machine room, if the setting is wrong, it will generate POWER_ABNORMAL power alarm.

0b1100 Erase host software (including patches)

N6GSCC

The locations of jumpers J18, J11, J30, and J31 on the OSN3500 N6GSCC single board are shown in Figure 2

J18 Battery enable

J11 Single-board operation status setting J11 is a set of 5 rows of 2pin jumpers, the leftmost row of jumpers is reserved and needs to be vacant. For the right 4 rows of jumpers:

No jumper cap inserted: corresponding value = "0"

Insert jumper cap: corresponding value = "1"

A 4-digit binary number is formed in the order from left to right, from high to low, see Table 4.

J30, J31 Device use input voltage setting

2-3 or without jumper cap: jumper cap inserted on 2 or 3 or without jumper cap, the device uses the power supply with an input voltage of -60V.

1-2: jumper cap inserted on 1, 2, the device uses the input voltage of -48V power supply, the default state


Attention:

Please set J30 and J31 correctly according to the power supply voltage provided by the machine room, if set incorrectly, POWER_ABNORMAL power alarm will be generated.
