Problem description

The new OSN 3500 in the previous partner upgrade project was upgraded from 5.21.18.12 to 5.21.18.50, and it was found that the upgrade of two sets of OSN 3500 cross boards was abnormal, prompting the single board to return the error : the file length exceeded the limitation. (Error code : 12-32775), other single boards, other equipment OSN 3500XCS can be upgraded successfully. The upgrade tool adopts the latest TOOLKIT R4 version, board pole loading mode.

Alarm information

1. There is no alarm on the device;

2、Toolkit R4 on the prompt: prompt single board return error : file length exceeds the limit. (Error code : 12-32775)

Processing

1. Analyzing from the alarm, it should be caused by insufficient space of the single board, suggesting the partner to remove the original software ( xcssoft.hwx, ne.ini, extbios.hwx ) which need to be upgraded, as well as the software which is loaded abnormally, and reload it through the navigator command :sftm-delete-file. The fault still reappears.

2, engineers just arrived at the scene, check the toolkit upgrade log, found that ne.ini, extbios.hwx can be loaded successfully, but xcssoft.hwx failed to load, through the navigator upgrade is also the same.

3, check the remaining space of the single board, found that the problematic network elements in the absence of loading software than the normal upgrade of the remaining space of the successful network elements are less, and the space than the xcssoft.hwx1336939 size is even smaller as follows:
