The same MAC address of the Ethernet single boards in the network causes the LB and LT tests of ETH OAM to be abnormal. adjusting the port numbers bound at both ends of the service or modifying the MAC addresses of the single boards can solve the problem.

Phenomenon Description
OSN equipment A and B are organized in a network, and EPL service is opened between data board N4EFS0 of network element A and data board N1EGS4 of network element B. The test fails to establish MEP, LB, or LT at both ends of the EPL service equipment, respectively.
Cause Analysis
The network element that initiates the LB or LT test sends an OAM packet to the opposite end, and this packet carries the MAC address of the veneer board at this end and the relevant port number.
If the peer receives the OAM packet, it responds according to the OAM protocol. If the MAC address and port number information in the received OAM packet is exactly the same as the receiver's own MAC address and port number, the receiver will consider it as a self-sent and selfreceived OAM packet and will ignore this packet.
Therefore, if the single board MAC addresses at both ends of the service are duplicated and the port numbers that happen to be connected are also the same, the LB and LT tests will fail.
Procedure
Query the MAC addresses of the data boards at both ends of the service.
If there is a duplicate single-board MAC address, bind the two ends of the service to different port numbers, and the failure can be eliminated.
Optional: If you want to solve the problem completely, you need to set different MAC addresses for the single boards at both ends.
Reference
When opening or expanding Ethernet data boards, it is recommended to ensure that the MAC address is set correctly beforehand.
