OSN2500 using FE single board, when the service traffic is large, the single board appears to lose packets
Phenomenon Description
When the service traffic is large, the single board experiences packet loss.
Cause Analysis
The working mode of the single board is set incorrectly, resulting in packet loss of services. The working modes of the ports do not match, and the working mode of one end is set to self-negotiation, while the working mode of the other end is set to non-self-negotiation working mode. According to the standard, these two working modes are docked, and the result of negotiation at the self-negotiation end is half-duplex, because half-duplex uses carrier listening technology, which allows only receiving or sending packets at the same time, so packet loss occurs when the traffic volume is large, and therefore it is necessary to set the working modes of the two ends in the same way.
Steps
Query the real working mode of the single board, if the working mode of the single board is half-duplex, then it is faulty state.
Query the real working mode of the docking port of the single board, and if it is half-duplex, it is also in the fault state.
Modify the working modes of the two docking ports to keep the same.
Recommendation Summary
The working modes of the ports at both ends of the docking station should be matched, either self-negotiation or fixed working mode with the same rate.
