Problem description

When upgrading OSN1500, an overseas customer found that SSR1AUX has single-board software, while SSR2AUX single-board only has auxiliary processing logic ( CPLD = 100 ) ; inquire how to deal with SSR2AUX when upgrading the network elements?

1. Confirm the real AUX type on the network element with the command : cfg-get-bdverinfo:bid ;

2、If the query shows that the board is R1AUX (with independent software), you need to load its software when upgrading the network element;

3、If the query is R2AUX without independent software, the software is included in the master control, the R2AUX board will be upgraded automatically when upgrading the master control of the network element.

The single board type in this example is R1AUX, it is with standalone software, all versions are with their standalone software, load the software when upgrading the network element

Root Cause

There are two types of SSRAUX : one is SSR1AUX and the other is SSR2AUX;

SSR1AUX: there is a separate software on the single board;

SSR2AUX: there is no independent software on the single board, and its software is included in the main control board;
