A customer feedbacks that the R2AUX of OSN1500 has a line of garbled code at the end of the veneer manufacturing information when querying the manufacturing information using T2000 or Navigator.

Root cause

1、Collect veneer manufacturing information, use UtralEdit and other tools to open the veneer manufacturing information file, the veneer manufacturing information is displayed normally, but after converting to binary, there are a lot of FF characters at the end of the veneer manufacturing information.

2, the collection of veneer manufacturing information, the use of Notepad to open the veneer manufacturing information files, veneer manufacturing information at the end of a lot of messy characters;

3、After the analysis of R&D, it is found that different versions of NG-SDH from V3 to V7 have different implementations of the read function fRead of the file pile, which causes the manufacturing information to be displayed illegally.

4, in the R3 ~ R6 version of the OSP call fRead () function is the same way, that is: expected to read 200 bytes of data, if the last packet of data read out less than 200, the system fills in the data for the "FF", the " FF " is displayed as an illegal character that is garbled. But copy to notepad txt text, it shows illegal characters, and in a better editor UE is no problem.

5, in the R7 version of the last package according to the actual length of the data read in the navigator will not have excess illegal characters can not be displayed, so copy to txt to not have a problem.
