OptiX OSN2500 SSN5EFS0 Single Board Functions and Features

The SSN5EFS0 single board supports Layer 2 switching, MPLS, multicast, and other functions and features.

The specific functions and features of the EFS0 single board are shown in Table 1.

Basic Functions

Handle 8-channel FE services

Cooperate with the outgoing board

Match with ETF8 to realize 8-channel electrical port FE signal access.

Match with EFF8 to realize 8-channel optical port FE signal access.

Match with ETS8 and TSB8 to realize 8-channel electrical port FE signal TPS protection.

Interface Specification

Support 10Base-T/100Base-TX with ETF8.

Support 10Base-T/100Base-TX with ETF8, support 100Base-FX with EFF8, meet IEEE802.3u standard.

Service Frame Format

Ethernet II, IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.1 q/p

Supports frame length from 64Byte to 9600Byte, supports Jumbo frames up to 9600Byte.

Maximum Uplink Bandwidth

The maximum uplink bandwidth of N1EFS0 is 622Mbit/s.

The maximum uplink bandwidth of N2EFS0 is 1.25Gbit/s.

Maximum uplink bandwidth for N4EFS0 is 1.25Gbit/s

Number of VCTRUNK

Number of VCTRUNKs for N1EFS0 is 12

The number of VCTRUNKs for N2EFS0 is 24.

Number of VCTRUNKs for N4EFS0 is 24.

Supports the forwarding function of Layer 2 switching.

Supports user-side switching and SDH network-side switching.

Support source MAC address self-learning function, MAC address table size is 16k, support MAC address aging time setting and query.

Supports static MAC routing configuration.

N1EFS0 and N2EFS0 support dynamic MAC address query, and support querying the number of actual learned MAC addresses by VB+VLAN or VB+LP.

N4EFS0 does not support dynamic MAC address query, and supports querying the number of actual learned MAC addresses by VB+VLAN or VB+LP.

Supports data isolation based on VB (Virtual Bridge) + VLAN method.

Supports creation, deletion and querying of VBs. The maximum number of VBs is 16, and the maximum number of logical ports per VB is 30.

EVPLAN

Support EVPLAN service, N1EFS0 uses MPLS Martini OE, MPLS Martini OP and stack VLAN frame encapsulation format, N2EFS0 and N4EFS0 use MPLS Martini OE and stack VLAN frame encapsulation format.
